Mow Cop Killer MileThursday 28th April 2011
Crewe & Nantwich AC were well represented in the 2011 Mow Cop Killer Mile, with eight of our runners (all males – come on girls!) taking part in the gruelling event on a warm, Spring evening. Over 120 runners took part in the first Race, for the U12s; our own Fred Dobberson finished in an impressive 2nd place, with Will Kasteven the 4th boy home and Harry Dobberson the 5th; Tommy Taylor also finished in a respectable 47th place, despite suffering an injury early on. In the U18s Race, Rob Poole stormed up the hill for an excellent 3rd place. Richard Owen equalled this 3rd place in the Club Runners Race, where Andy Jones started his road running season with a decent 16th place. David Dobberson finished the successful evening for Crewe & Nantwich AC with 8th place in the Veterans Race. All our runners completed the Killer Mile in under 10 minutes. Congratulations – excellent running! Well done also to Will Kasteven’s brother, Matthew, and Mum, who completed the U12 race together, and to Tommy’s Mum, who ran in the Veterans Race.
