The final indoor open meeting of the Sales Harriers series took place on Sunday 17th March. Five Crewe & Nantwich AC athletes competed.Georgie Perris-Redding ran two 60 metre races, second in the first and winning the latter, both in a time of 8:12, only 0.02 outside her PB. Alex Steele came third in his 60 metre race in a season’s best 7.63. Jacob Brown, Joshua Betteley and Freya Taylor-Hatswell all ran 600 metre races. All won their respective races in PB times of 1:27.04, 1:35.72 and 1:44.66. Jacob and Josh lead from gun to tape. Freya’s race was most exciting, leading for the first 200 metres she was overtaken into the bend but tucked in for the next 200. At the bell she surged to the fore and won by over 15 metres – hurrah!! Thanks to Rob for the write up and photos.
